This review is from: Four Piece NEW STYLE 2 1/4" Herb, Spice or Tobacco Pollen Grinder
This is a neat little grinder if you have never had one before. The grinder, as is, is a four piece with a screen to collect fine herb material. But the screen is so tightly wound that you have to puncture it a million times with a needle in order to allow any "pollen" to fall through. Other than that the metal threads are just ok. They arent super sharp so you have to grind for a while. For what youre paying its an alright grinder. But if you are a serious smoker and like a good grinder, spend a few extra bucks on a better one.

PS: a lot of people are talking about metal shavings in their herb. You must wash the grinder before the first use and you shouldnt see any shavings after that.

They need a lot of quality control.
That is for sure..... just ask for another one, as I did.
No Problem Man...
Don't feel like you got stuck with JUNK
and the washing out should be with alcohol.

Pro tip: Stick a quarter (which has been thoroughly sanitized) on top of the screen. Give it a good shake now and then, and your 'pollen' collection rate will be 10x+

I'm real old school and the stuff now does not look like it did back in the 60's-70's...hence, no need for grinders (at least I never saw one) so forgive when I say I do not understand what you mean by sticking a quarter on top of the screen. Could you please explain it to me?

John Jones says:
Regarding a quarter on top of the screen, I reckon that this is what "VariableNature" means:

The last (bottom) chamber is the trichome-collecting chamber and it's below the screen. In the chamber above that is the ground herb chamber and your ground herb sits on the screen (except for very small sized bits that fall through the screen into the bottom trichome-collecting chamber). Placing a quarter (or most any small coin) on the screen (inside the ground herb chamber) ... and giving the grinder an occasional "SHAKE" ... will disturb the herb in the ground herb chamber and cause more trichomes to fall off the herb and pass through the screen into the trichome-collecting chamber. The trichome-collecting idea is great and the coin idea is great, but you've got to remember that if you intentionally "SHAKE" more trichomes off of your herb, then the herb you'll be using will have less trichomes on it. It's not a huge trade-off since you'll be using the trichomes in any case. :)
