This review is from: Asus P8Z77-V LK Intel Z77 DDR3 LGA 1155 Motherboards (Personal Computers)
Very versatile! Plenty of card slots for gaming graphics goodness and multiple monitors. Two legacy PCI slots. Great overclocking utils.

Almost returned this board because of misaligned mounting of the I/O connectors in the upper left corner. The two USB 2.0 sockets were not lining up with the back-plate because that part was not soldered flush on the circuit board. I was able to tweak the case near the mounting screw enough to pull that corner of the board down so the USB sockets were in line with the back-plate. If you get one of these boards, make sure to first check the mounting of the I/O ports by aligning the back-plate that comes with it. One star deducted for poor QC.

Hello.
I'm building a machine around this board but I haven't bought a case yet. Yes, what you're pointing out here is a quality control issue. I replace a board once in computer that failed to align properly. I shorted the board which angered me somewhat. So with the replacement board, I made sure all the ports, and hardware mounted perfectly on the board (before I screwed the board in). I trashed the case because the cpu fan & heatsink had to be mounted from behind the board. The case made no provision for rear cpu fan mounts. Thanks for bringing those details up. I will check my board.
