Good GPS but still has a few issues.,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TomTom GO 720 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought the TomTom 720 last year. This is a very good GPS. I will list the pros and cons below. I will compare to the Garmin Nuvi 350 that I also owned.
Good Route Calcuations-
Very accurate routes. IQ Routes are great. Not always the fastest routes but it gets you there in reasonable amount of time. Sometimes calculates a weird route. However, if you hit the alternative route button the GPS finds a descent route.
Much better routes than the Garmin Nuvi 350. The Garmin would calculate weird routes and take you on a really long time to reach the destination.
Map Share and Voices-
Works well. You can get corrected maps. You can not update the map route though. You can just change the street name. Garmin does not even have these type of features.
Voices are fun. The directions are clear. Most street names are pronounce accurately but some are messed up. Garmin also had good voice directions.
POIs are much better on Garmin. TomTom has descent POIs but Garmin has more.
Battery stinks on TomTom 720. I always have to plug it into the charger or it goes dead. Garmin had much better battery life.
Bluetooth - Sometimes I get a connection to my phone, other times I do not. I am on the supported list of phones. It is a bit of pain to sometimes use the bluetooth.
