2.0 out of 5 stars Blue Screen, August 29, 2012

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kingston ValueRAM 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 SODIMM (Kit of 2) Notebook Memory (Personal Computers)
Did not work on Dell Latitude Laptop - caused a blue screen after 10-30min. Have not yet contacted support to try and resolve. The cost of the time with support will quickly exceed the cost of the memory.

We apologize for the issue you experienced. However, the memory you purchased is not the recommended part for your system. Please use our memory configurator to find the recommended part for your Dell Latitude. http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/options/

JJ386 says:
If you have not already tested your memory, you can download Memtest86+ and create a bootable USB stick. Run Memtest86+ for a few hours or overnight to test the memory (it runs the selected tests repeatedly). Default setting works fine. After running the test a few hours or overnight, if there is an error, it will report the error on screen.

If there is an error shows on screen, the memory is bad and needs replacement.

MemTest web site: http://memtest.org/

If there is an error after MemTest ran, report it to the vendor, and start the RMA process. Good luck.
