Not A Bad Game Considering It's Age,
This review is from: Doom 3 BFG Edition (DVD-ROM)
Doom 3 was released in 2004, and for being as old as it is, it has aged well. The game itself can be described as gameplay that is similar to Half-Life, with horror elements akin to Dead Space. While the graphics are quite outdated, the atmosphere that Doom 3 creates can easily immerse the player, so the graphical shortcomings can easily be overlooked. The controls are quite solid and simple anyone who has played a first person shooter should have no trouble with them. The main story almost feels like a movie at times and is well-written. Additionally, Doom 1 and 2 are included and are still a joy to play despite their age. I recommend this game for anyone who wants a break from all the copy and paste military shooters that have saturated the market, and wants to play a classic First Person Shooter.
