Terse it ain't,
This review is from: Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do (Hardcover)
I feel most people picking up this book would already appreciate the intuitive theme and would be looking for some hard science. I nearly didn't get to that point, however, because our author felt the need to introduce and then re-introduce his book repeatedly for about fifty pages before getting down to business. By that time I was in a red mind state, ready to hurl this tome and its loquacious author off the metaphorical boat.
But then, only one or two meandering anecdotes away from uncontrollable rage, I started to calm down. Not sure what came over me but it might have been the soothing dust jacket. My mind entered a blue state and I began to enjoy the scientific plankton left for us readers. Still a little sparse in places for my taste but hey, maybe I should just chill out. Go catch a wave. Enjoy. Live longer.
