4.0 out of 5 stars Missing 16th song a handicap, April 25, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Older Than My Old Man Now (Audio CD)
Great album but the song NO TOMORROW, which is included in the mp3 version, is not in the CD and it is a perfect finish to the whole thing.

I listened to it a bunch of times on spotify and mog, with the extra song, before buying the CD, hoping there was a hidden track. No such luck. I finally just downloaded the mp3 cut to make it complete on my ipod.

The mp3's cheaper and has the extra song. The CD has the booklet with the lyrics and who's playing on the various cuts.

Excuse me jumping in here - this is Dick Connette, who produced the album in question and put it out on his own little label. I'm sorry that the reviewer was disappointed that "No Tomorrow" was not part of the CD package, although I'm glad he liked the song. Loudon decided that "No Tomorrow" didn't fit into the album as a whole. There were several other songs that we recorded that also didn't make the cut. We got some pressure from the distributor to make some material available as bonus download only, and Loudon decided on "No Tomorrow". I'm very sorry that any of Loudon's fans feel bilked, and I will take what's happened under consideration for future releases.

Bilked is a bit harsh. I've got all the songs on my Ipod AND the CD booklet. I'm basically a happy camper.

Well, that's a relief, but the principle obtains - no longer will I get in the middle of the CD v. mp3 wars - from now on whatever audio's on one will be on the other.
