This review is from: Sophia Global Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for PGI-225 CLI-226 PIXMA printers including MG8220 MG6220 (3 Large Black, 3 Small Black, 3 Cyan, 3 Magenta, 3 Yellow) (Office Product)
I have had great luck with Sophia Global inks over the past several years. I recently purchased a Canon printer (replacing an HP), and of course looked for Sophia Global cartridges which cost about 1/3 as much as the Canon cartridges.

Having used Sophia Global inks successfully for several years in my HP printer, I anticipated being satisfied with their Canon inks and I was not disappointed. Under close scrutiny, images from the Sophia Global inks looked as good or better than the printouts with the Canon inks that came with my printer.

One thing you must look out for, there is a little plastic film tab on the top of the cartridge that you must pull off before removing the plastic cap on the bottom. If you forget to do this, you probably won't forget a second time, as you will get ink everywhere.

Even with the plastic film pulled off, you still need to be careful to avoid dripping. I always open mine over the trash can and inspect it to see if there is any ink pooled in the ink outlet. If there is I will turn it over in the trash can and let it drip out. I hold the cartridge upside-down moving it towards the printer, and turn it right-side-up only at the last second before inserting it in the printer. I've probably changed three dozen cartridges over the last couple of months, and being careful in this manner I haven't gotten a drop of ink outside the printer. Not having used Canon cartridges (other than the ones that came with the printer), I don't know if this is a problem with these types of cartridges or something specific to Sophia Global's version.

I highly recommend these Sophia Global cartridges as a high-quality, low-cost alternative to Canon's expensive inks.
