Powerful stuff for writers and a timely, solid message.,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Power of Unpopular: A Guide to Building Your Brand for the Audience Who Will Love You (and why no one else matters) (Kindle Edition)
I bought this book because I'm a writer, too, and saw Erica Napolitano on something-or-other online (promoting her book, probably) and immediately liked her, so followed her on Twitter and her blog, and bought her book. Not done yet, but am enjoying her point of view and authentic voice, plus her message is strong and valuable. (If you're a marketer of any stripe, you'll learn from this book. If you're a marketing writer, you'll learn even more, or at least substantiate what you already know and benefit from her encouragement, also a win.) Now, here's why I'm writing this review in spite of never having done this before: I just read the "Power of Unpopular" post (this link might not be hot but you can type it) [...] dealing with a somewhat negative review the author received from a guy who didn't like her tatoos or tendency to swear, so, of course I immediately had to write a review from the opposite viewpoint, and tell you all that this dame is one smart marketer herself and worthy of respect, or, I wouldn't have extended my laptop time (on vacation, in a hot car parked in a library parking lot) to pound this out! You rock, Erica. The rest of you, check out her book.

KG - Really appreciate you stopping by! I'm glad you're finding the book a valuable add to your bookshelf and hope you'll stop back by when you're done reading to share your thoughts on the book as a whole. And I'm glad that review got you over here -- he ended up deleting it (such a shame -- there was a very lively 20-comment thread discussion!). But hey -- he got me you. Thanks for following he around on the interwebz.
