Handy tray for long trip when you have kids,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)Instead of spending ~5K for built in DVD player I went for portable DVD players for my kids. The tray came in very handy not just for DVD player but also for the kids to have snacks. The cup holder also came in very handy. Rated a little low for its price. But it paid for itself on our 1200 miles each way drive to Orlando.

Coincidently we just got back from Orlando on Sat. April 12th 2008. I was wishing we had something for the kids. A Toyota DVD player is $5000 per screen.
I was just searching net just for this kind of concept so that I could put my laptop/entertainment unit securely in the backseat for my kids to watch DVDswhile on the road. My Toshiba Qsmio is large and relatively weighty- much more than portable DVD players. In your opinion how can I do this safely for my kids and laptop? Thanks, Crosby (Atlanta/Dunwoody GA)

I would like to comment on your rating. Possibly your rating should have been higher. I personally never consider price as an attribute of the rating as when we buy something, we assume some risk and the price is not hidden. Things outside my budget, I just don't buy. I base my ratings of things solely on function. That way, people can judge for themselves whether the price is worth it. Many people will simply blow off things with a 3 rating and look for something else. It would appear that you even think that it did everything it claimed and even paid for itself (at least metaphorically).
Just something to consider
