3.0 out of 5 stars SATA3 ports not working!, November 8, 2012
By
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Asus P8Z77-V LK Intel Z77 DDR3 LGA 1155 Motherboards (Personal Computers)
One of the reasons for purchasing this product is due to the 2x SATA3 ports. I juts bought an SSD and it does not work when connected to the SATA3 ports. I have updated all the drivers, from bios, chipset to the SSD firmware. Still not working. In fact any SATA device, whether HDD or DVD Writer Drive, will not work when connected to the SATA3 ports.

Have contacted ASUS support, hopefully they can help resolve this. Purchased this MOBO with a rebate, so the product serial number and UPC code are missing (submitted for the rebate). Hopefully that will not prevent a RMA, in the event I need to replace it...

*sigh*

Same issue here. Have you had any luck fixing it?

I have decided to do an RMA. Also, because I don't want to be without a computer (w/o mobo i can't use my computer), i decided to do the advance replacement RMA. where asus sends out the replacement (another repaired or refurbished mobo) before you send in your defective one. however, the put a hold on your credit card for the retail cost of the mobo. sux... but i want to use my sata3 ports...
