The new Rockem Sockem robots...,
= Durability: = Fun: = Educational:
This review is from: 35TH Anniversary Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots Game (Toy)
I was disappointed to find that the Rockem Sockem robots I remember so well as a kid had magically shrunk down to pint-sized replacements. I would have been completely satisfied if they had retained thier size, which in turn would have made them retain their original greatness. The lesson here boys...if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I agree with Thomas Mulichak wholeheartedly. As soon as the toy that I ordered arrived in the mail, before I even opened the box, I told my wife that this couldn't be the Rockem Sockem robote that I ordered. The Rockem Sockem robots that I remember as a child wouldn't fit in this small box. It was much bigger than this. My wife thought that because I remembered them from my childhood that it just seemed bigger because I was so much smaller then. But I knew that wasn't the case. I could hardly fit my hands around the controllers of the new one (that's how small it is). It doesn't even make that distinctive sound anymore when the heads pop up. Then, the next day after X-mas, I saw an episode of "That 70's Show" where they were playing with an original size Rockem Sockem robots, and just as I was about to jump up and grab my computer to go online to find it, one of the heads was knocked off and I heard that sound that I remembered. So I'm now trying to find an original sized one.
