Don't buy this !!!!!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Veho VCC-003-MUVI-BLK MUVI Micro digital camcorder for Action Sports/Surveillance (Includes 2Gb Memory) (Camera)
1st, Battery life poor but other than that it was a pretty good camera. 2nd, My unit died at 7 months. Unit has a 1 year warranty but no one will honor it! Seller ('PORTABLE GUY') directed me to the manufacturer (VEHO)who directed me back to the seller who said that manufacturer had to warranty it. (catch 22) Veho has not responded to any follow-up emails. Amazon granted me an 'exception' and refunded my money, (good decision by Amazon!). If you choose to buy this beware of ~ZERO~ customer service from either Portable Guy or Veho.

Manufacturer is liable. File a complaint w district attorney or your attorney general, even after the fact.

I agree. A $50 item isn't worth the hassle. Any state's AG office would put that on the back burner if indeed you can find out where this guy is.
You surely can't go after the no name from China.

What I see right now is "ships from and sold by amazon", so I guess Portable Guy is no longer the seller.

Thank you for review.Additionally, it was extremely helpful to me to learn that Amazon does make exceptions in terms of refunding money after 30 days.

Robert D. Levin says:
As a consumer the device or product must work as intended at the time of purchase. As described, the seller and manufacturer are culpable for collusion under the false claims act with Qui Tam provision that is enforced by the SEC Office of the Whistleblower and subject to prosecution under the Unlawful Trade Practices Act, such as the UTPA in Oregon. In 2003, VoiceStream Wireless that became T-Mobile USA, Inc., repeatedly sent me three refurbished handsets when one of the three new products I purchased failed within 30 day. The third time I advised the CSR that I'd file a consumer fraud complaint if he regurgitated that outlaw corporation's verbiage again, he did, and Oregon Attorney General Hardy Meyer find the complaint 28k and forced them to a Voluntary Assurance of Compliance Agreement. These legal sanction convey from corporation to corporation when sold. As consumers and human beings, too many within the culture of corruption seek to herd us into the virtual death camp environments that erode the individual sense of self-identity in humans to cause complacency. It is easy to file a consumer complaint with the state attorney general and within the various federal agencies now more readily available to the public. Also note that a manufacturer's warranty, in a number of cases, conveys beyond its stated duration under federal consumer laws and acts.

The stoners live and breed in the UK. They could care less if you file a 'colonies' liable suit. They do though make a good cam for $41 American. I will say that out of the 4 I bought over the years, I had to return two for replacement for small but significant problems. Otherwise...Amazing really.
