5.0 out of 5 stars This is an EXCELLENT primer for climate change/global warming., April 28, 2008
This review is from: A Primer on CO2 and Climate (Perfect Paperback)
This is an excellent book for those who have only basic science skills, yet have an interest in learning what a qualified scientist can teach them about fundamental science relating to climate change and global warming and their relationship to atmospheric CO2. You will learn that the theory espoused by Mr. Gore and the IPCC is baseless for the simple reason that the atmosphere does not work like a typical "greenhouse" and that, in any event, atmospheric CO2 is severely limited in its potential impact on climate and climate change. Highly recommended for both novices and those who are experienced with this topic.

Among the facts that "Warmists" forget to mention is the fact that CO2 is essential to life on our Earth. Simply remembering this fact forces one to re-examine the available data, particularly the historical (and pre-historical) records on CO2, Temperature, and climate. It is very important to try to understand the cycle of ice ages and temperate climate. THE MORE I LOOK AT THAT HISTORICAL DATA, THE MORE I WONDER ABOUT "DANGERS" OF GLOBAL WARMING!

Obviously R.D.Webster has "only basic science skills", for if he had any science sense he'd realize that the IPCC is the apex of world scientific thought.

William, either due to being naive or brain washed or both, doesn't realize that there were 650 scientist at a conference held Dec. 10, 2008 in Poznan, Poland. that don't share the alarmist view, and they, unlike Al Gore or many that make up the IPCC panel, are real, verifiable scientist that are peer reviewed. That number makes them 12 times more than the 52 that authored the media hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policy Makers. Atmospheric physicist Dr. S. Fred Singer does not think cooling or warming cycles are something to worry about. "The current warming trend is simply part of a natural cycle of climate warming and cooling that has been seen in ice cores, deep-sea sediments, stalagmites, etc., and published in hundreds of papers in peer-reviewed journals."
