This review is from: Hard Candy Case for Apple Macbook Air 13-inch and Thin Ultrabooks - Bubble Sleeve, Black (Personal Computers)
I searched for a while for a case/sleeve for my 13" macbook air. I was looking for something small and lightweight that would provide minimal protection, basically just keep me from getting scratches on my air. I finally decided on this case as it looked interesting and I liked the rubber corners on the inside that holds the air in place.
When I got the case, I was pretty happy with it. The air fit in the case very nicely and the rubber corners seem to be perfectly designed to hold the air in place and prevent it from moving around in the case.
One of the first times I opened the case, the zipper seemed to get stuck. When I looked more closely, I was able to see that the body of the zipper was snagging on the fabric that holds the zipper into place. I know this is a little hard to explain without pictures, my apologies for not taking pictures. After a couple of times with this happening, I could see small little tears on the fabric made by the zipper head. So it seems that with continued use, the case would start opening up even with the zipper 'zipped'. I felt this was unacceptable for a case of this price ($50). So it was returned after about 4 days of use. I happened to walk into target a few days later and found a neoprene case on clearance for less than $10. It was not custom fit and did not have rubber bumpers to hold the laptop in place, but it certainly didn't have this zipper problem. Don't know if I got a defective case, or they are all like this.
I eventually want to buy a nicer case, but my clearance case will do until i can find something I'll be happy with.
