5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Boot for those with plantar fasciitis, July 2, 2012

This review is from: KEEN Utility Men's Pittsburgh Steel Toe Work Boot (Apparel)
This is an excellent and comfortable boot. I have a ranch and have worked these boots hard from digging post holes, tillering, cement work, etc... I also have with horses and the hard toe is a plus. My dog got a hold of these boots and inspite of chewing them up the construction remains stable and I have been able to wear them for a year with no trouble.

Most important is that I have bilateral chronic plantar fasciitis. I have to wear inserts with all my shoes except for these boots. I can wear these all day and have no foot pain at the end of the day.

I've got that plantar fasciitis crap too. I was a little reluctant over these due to the price tag, but I needed steel toes for work, and these boots are crazy comfortable.

Mike Cochran says:
I've had these boots since Nov 2012 and I typically only wear them daily during the winter as they're a little too hot for summer work, but I experienced the same problem with the soles wearing out. I never had any issues with the water proofing, except for when I was working in the snow for over 10 hours they finally started to get a little wet. I wear gators over top of them in snow. I'm 6'0 220 and these boots have been the only shoes that have kept my plantar faciitis from coming back. I also have keens water shoes, and regular low hikers for summer wear.
