Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Assassin's Creed III with Steelbook (Video Game)
This is probably my most anticipated game ever, having been a fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise since the beginning. In March I found out about the new game and then immediately went to Amazon to pre-order. Three days or so prior to launch I called to verify with Amazon customer service. I wanted to know that my item would be at my door ON launch day, not prior to, or even at midnight, but ON launch day like I was led to believe. So here I sit, 1045p.m. on launch day with no game in hand. This will absolutely be the last time I pre-order from Amazon. I apologize if not everyone agrees with my point of view. The fact remains that Amazon provides us this medium with which to review our product experience. I have done that. As for any negative comments and ratings on this review, I have one question... Why, if this is such an inappropriate review, has Amazon never attempted to take it down or contacted me about changing it? Don't hate, the game is awesome. I am attempting to make the customer experience better, not cry about it in a forum where no change will come of it. Good day.

While I agree, this is not an actual "review" of the game and does not belong here. This belongs in an e-mail to Amazon.

Please stop leaving product reviews over issues THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRODUCT!

This is a 5 Star game, yet your gripe with Amazon's service is bringing the rating down. Learn how this system works, kid. Delete your review.

When you have issues with an order, contact Amazon... The product reviews are only to give your opinion about the product itself.

You sure you chose "Release date shipping"?
Because sometimes it's not an option yet, and funny story... You're blaming Amazon for a UPS mistake if it was release date shipping.

This was because of Hurricane Sandy messing up the flow of freight; so sorry you couldn't have ultimate convenience while people's homes were being flooded, Buddy.
