This review is from: The Christmas Attic (Audio CD)
I thought this cd was great. the music is traditional and beautiful. These days Christmas songs are all about snowmen and insignificant romances. These songs don't seem so secular. I can't believe that one reviewer said that the songs were too religious for him/her. Why do you celebrate Christmas anyway? There is a point. It's too bad that people shy away from Christmas songs that actually have meaning- that may even mention Christ. Christmas songs should be religious. Anyway, this cd is worth buying along with other Trans-Siberian Orchestra cd's.

Michael A. Clark says:
AMEN to that siste! I totally agree with you. Christmas is about Christ and I for one am sick and tired of listening to failed loves, snowmen, reindeers, and Santa Claus coming to town. Christmas has been made too secular and commercialized. I've just become a fan of TSO. I never heard about them until some friends in a Moody Blues group told me about them. So I read some of the comments on TSO's Beethoven's Last Night and instantly became a fan. I'm now reading the comments on the other 4 TSO albums and I'm convinced that before the afternoon is over, I will have ordered them. Peace and God bless to you and the family. I appreciated your comments and happy to see that someone else feels Christmas should be about Christ. Peace be with you. Michael

Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday. All the seasonal traditions - Christmas tree, mistletoe, gift-giving, etc. was taken from the Pagan traditions and adapted to Christianity, so that the Pagans could more easily be dominated by the new religion.
It has become meaningful for Christians, which is wonderful. And I agree that the cutesy stuff and the commercial stuff is against the true spirit of the season. My only point is that a spiritual Christmas season is not limited to Christianity.
PEACE to you!

Many many many people disagree with you. Religious nonsense divides people into murderous warring factions. It is the secular version of the holiday - gift giving, family togetherness, peace on earth - that make the dreariness and violence of the religious nonsense tolerable.
