This review is from: The Peacekeepers. The Warlord. Book 9. (Kindle Edition)
After my doctors and family determined that I should no longer try to work in late 2008, my children pooled together and gave me the original Kindle for Christmas. For most of my reading life, (more than 55 years) I had thought that I would enjoy reading every day. I do, but the quantity of books has become almost unreal. From Amazon, I have gotten more than 225 books since that Christmas Day. I also have a couple of other publishers that I also buy from, including Baen.com. I have more than 200 books from them also. After a while, I began to look for inexpensive books that would not break my little reading budget. Amazon offers good deals periodically to help new authors get some coverage. Birth Of The Peacekeepers was one by an author that I had not seen before, and only 99 cents. I snapped it up. Now Ricky and I have become friends, although we have never met in person, and I have bought all of the rest of the Peacekeeper books, and am eagerly awaiting the Peacekeepers No.10. Number 9 has just been released and I finished it the first time in less than 24 hours, I really just could not put it down. I have gone through it more than twice and will try to be patient while waiting for the next book. Buy into The Birth of the Peacekeepers, it will be one of the best dollars that you have ever spent. If you do not enjoy this near future book about the struggles of man after the apocalyptic events I will be very surprised. Each book has shown growth of the main characters, and the addition to newer people who are working through almost impossible problems. A new problem in book 9 is a criminal who calls himself The Warlord. He has declared "Death to All Peacekeepers." Second and third generation of peacekeepers since The Night Of The Quakes use their hard bought skills to handle this problem.
