Paul O'neal has done a great job of compasition of this music. Simply taking a classical music song that everybody has heard an enjoyed in some part of their life, then turning it artisticly into a well written rock n' roll orchestrated piece is a great accomplishment. You don't have to like rock n' roll to enjoy this music that is written. Trans-Siberian Orchestra has done it again with the different styles of rock, jazz, and classical. Even though sometimes they do take exerpts from certain songs, when they write their own music around those exerpts, they always tend to do a good job. Now this album was a great album, yet there were just some things that were pretty repeitive, but is made up for their great musisionship and artistic talent.
The song that REALLY sticks out in this album is Wizard in Winter. That song, written by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, with a hint of the Nutcracker is SUPURB in this album in my opinion than any other song that they have written. With the soft melody and the hard guitars put together in a song, it just makes the great listening experiance more pleasurable.
TSO has purley created another great album yet again. I recommend those who enjoy Rock with some classical music and jazz, should definatly get this album. You don't have to like any of that to enjoy this album.
