Best peeler I've owned,
This review is from: Kuhn Rikon Piranha Swivel Peeler, Red (Kitchen)
A few years ago, thinking that with aging arthritic hands, the big, fat black Oxo peeler would be just the ticket, I was disappointed with the clumsy item, but hung on to it and got into the habit of peeling potatoes with a paring knife. Finding recently that the blade had dulled and become useless, I bought the Piranha on an impulse, largely because I'm so pleased with my extensive collection of Kuhn Rikon knives. I wasn't disappointed. Like them, it has a nice, sharp blade. The handle, though slimmer than the one on my old one, has an ergonomic shape that I like. And I love that KR makes everything in different colors. So easy to find in my jumble of gadgets, many of which are boring black. I'm tempted to replace all of them with variously colored ones. And, I'm back to peeling potatoes with the peeler, probably saving a lot of potato over doing it with a knife.
