It is cheap but simply not worth it...,
This review is from: JVC Picsio GC-WP10 Waterproof Pocket Video Camera (Blue) NEWEST VERSION (Electronics)
I felt very good after reading some reviews as I wanted a versatile camera to take on holidays to the beach. It was a great offer: HD video, takes pics and it is waterproof... and it is cheap (~150USD). But what a disappointment... it is simply not great for none of the things I wanted.
1) The HD quality: It is just average to bad. And simply ignore the digital zoom as the image will simply become terrible. But even without zoom, you can notice the image is grainy and not as sharp as the expensive cameras (ok, I know this is cheap, but what is the point if the image is not good?)
2) The Sound quality: This is by far the worst. First of all, the Mic is terrible, you need to shout if you want your voice recorded. Regular conversation will just not be captured. Second, even if you slightly move your camera while recording, a lot of noise goes in, like air blowing by the mic - Awful.
3) Taking pictures: It is just useless if you are not outdoors with plenty of light (there is no flash).
4) Waterproof: I havent tested it yet, but given the above, I am simply afraid of putting it under water and totally ruining it. I live out of the USA so I cant return the camera and get a refund (which I would).
In summary: It does not record sound decently, the image quality is average and you will prefer taking pics with your other digital photographic camera. You will end up with dark photos, blurry recordings with no conversation and a lot of wind noise. So it is cheap, but what is the point?

It's waterproof. Anything waterproof and under $10,000 is not going to be equipped with a capable aquaphone.
