This review is from: Mrs. Anderson's Baking Hand Crank Flour Icing Sugar Sifter, Stainless Steel, 5-Cup (Kitchen)
What I like about it:
*It is a large enough capacity so I can sift enough flour for double batches of cookies which I make a lot.
*It hasn't rusted on me yet.
*It does the job.
What I don't like about it:
*A pretty good amount of the flour comes out of the hole where the crank shaft inters the cylinder. Not sure how you'd fix that except maybe a rubber gasket or something like that.
*There is a rubbing/jerking kind of motion. Very annoying! At first I thought the mesh at the bottom of the sifter is not completely round causing that problem but after further inspection it seems the two wires that push the flour through the mesh hit one of the ribs on the inside of the canister. It makes sifting large amounts very unpleasant.
*it would be easy to dent the rounded mesh at the bottom of the sifter which would cause it to be very hard to turn and increase the annoying rubbing/jerking motion already there.
Three stars because it's ok but probably should be a two star.
