OK, not great - not terrible,
This review is from: Maui Jim Ho'okipa MJ Sport Sunglasses (Eyewear)
These sunglasses are decent quality, fit well and are comfortable. However, the lens material is frankly no less vulnerable to scratching than most other lenses I've handled. I'm very particular and careful in caring for glasses in general, and these are the only glasses I've had scratched in years. Furthermore, it's about $80 total to correct any lens scratch. Maui Jim does not replace single lenses - you must get a pair. It's $60, plus a $10 service charge, plus the cost to ship them. The warranty does not cover scratches. Bottom line is that while I liked them, I will not be repairing them and will not purchase another pair of Maui Jim sunglasses.

Ditto. My experience has been exactly the same and I agree with your assessment.

I disagree, Maui Jims rule. Lost mine and will buy another this week from a authorized dealer. Called Maui in Hawaii and most of Amazons are not authorized. However I love Amazon and have many purchases on file.
