Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: PEOPLE General Hospital (Hardcover)
I expected this to focus on more core characters over the past 50 years, but too much of this book highlights the current cast. There isn't one picture of Edward or Lila Quartermaine, two major characters of a core family. How can that be? Anna Lee, David Lewis, and John Ingle deserve more respect. There are several typos and there is at least one glaring error in the book (Nikolas Cassadine is Stefan's uncle). Thinking that this was a collector's edition by People, I expected a book of better quality, but I am highly disappointed. I'm glad I didn't purchase another one to give to someone as a gift because it wouldn't have been money well spent. Save your money and don't purchase this book.

No pictures of Edward and Lila??? Unbelievable. They obviously didn't consult anyone who is a fan of General Hospital. If I were you I would have given it one star just for that.

I totally agree. I just finished reading the book and its emphasis on the current, young cast is unbelievable. The decades were skimmed with a minimal timeline, and with few photos, period, while major portions of the book were dedicated to the young hunks, and Luke and Laura, who were not the only popular cast members. No pictures of Edward, Lila, and only one of Robin, who has been a very popular cast member for years. Not nearly enough mention of cast and plots from the past. Where were mention of Tony, Ruby, Rosie, Amy, and probably a zillion more I can't remember? This edition was extremely poorly done and not worth half its price. I got it from the library. Don't waste your money.

And why do they keep showing pictures of Elizabeth and Jason and calling her Sam?
