Seether's Most Complete Album,
This review is from: Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray (Deluxe Version) [+Digital Booklet] (MP3 Music)
The negative reviews here slam the album crying that it is less hard than the Seether they used to know. That is true to a degree, but it does not equate to a step backwards by any means. There are plenty of hard rock songs here, and while there are a few slower and mid-tempo songs sprinkled in as well, the main improvement to me is that the songs are more melodic than on previous albums. Additionally, the screaming that accompanied many of the songs on previous Seether albums is absent. I don't want to give the impression that Seether's previous work is not worthy of purchase (it is), but the "improvements" I mentioned make Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray a far more accessible album. In my opinion.
