2.0 out of 5 stars Not really my style, September 3, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bring Out Your Dead (Dark Ones series) (Kindle Edition)
Bring Out Your Dead (Dark Ones Novels)
I bought this book "Bring Out Your Dead, by Katie MacAlister" on the prompting of my older sister. Both of us like to read other worldly books. However, this turned out to be more women's romance style (which I do not read, because I do not care for it) and not enough paranormal developement. If you care for women's romance style books do try this as a crossover, I am sure you will like "Bring Out Your Dead" very much. If you prefer more paranormal character developement, with "sex" where the characters are led, this may not be your style either.

It's a novella, you never get the same amount of character development as you would in a book. The novella is part of an established series, so the world this story is set in has already been built. MacAlister's book have always been more paranormal romance than urban fiction.

Bring Out Your Dead (Dark Ones Novels) Thank you for your reply. If my sister had been told she wrote romance style before I bought and read this book I would not have bought the novella. Like I stated not my style of reading, I am open to everything but romance books. Any ideas on a good read please pass them on. Again thank you for your explaination.
