This review is from: iKan Corporation ikan Trekker Bag Black, (IBG-TREK) (Electronics)
Finding a combination notebook PC and SLR capable bag that is not either a backpack or a messenger bag is difficult. And, if you fly with your gear, you often cannot take separate PC and photo bags as carry-ons. While travelling by air, it all has to fit in one bag, and once my luggage is back in my direct control, I can transfer my PC gear into it to lighten my Trekker. This leaves me with a bag that gives me instant on the go access to all my photo gear.
The published features list for this bag is incomplete. It didn't mention the extra front slash pocket for documents, nor the trolley loop for riding on top of rolling baggage, nor the tripod loops! And somewhere I missed that the entire padded gear section is actually a removable insert. As an experiment, I found enough nooks and crannies to safely load my entire mobile office and all my photo gear - you won't normally want to do this because the bag will be too heavy for comfortable transport. My Trekker then weighed 34 pounds. At the same time, it's nice to know I can do this if I have to. Normally, I will travel with all my photo gear and just my notebook, or my mobile office and a small subset of my photo gear.
The bag comes with a strap to convert the bag into a temporary backpack. Personally, I'd rather it came with a hip-belt to retain the usefulness of the comfortable shoulder strap while re-distributing weight and maintaining gear accessibility without removing the bag. So I made my own and the bag works even better.
