Reasonable price for a sturdy speaker bar,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pinnacle Speakers S-BAR 3509 9-Element Speaker Bar Ideal for TVs 35-Inch and Up (Black) (Electronics)
I recently purchased my speaker bar for $169 as part of a lightning deal during the Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales, which makes the speaker bar well worth its inherent limitations. At its normal price of $250, I'd find it hard to justify not spending the extra $50 or so to pick up two tower speakers and a center, which would provide a better audio experience. All that being said, my speaker bar sounds pretty damn good and is superior to the built-in speakers of my 40" tv. I've got a cheapish subwoofer on its way which should vastly improve everything.
I noticed that quite a few people are confused about the setup of this speaker bar. To set it up you'll need 3 sets of speaker wires (you can use 12, 14, or 16 gauge wires) and an av receiver. If you're willing to spend the extra time you can put those wires into banana plugs to make subsequent setups more convenient, but if you're strapped for time or can't figure it out from watching Youtube videos, you can order some cables with preinstalled banana plugs on Amazon for a reasonable price. Also, there are some low cost entry receivers for less than $200, but you can usually find an older model for much cheaper on Craigslist, which is what I did to set up mine.
