One of the must-have books in self development,
This review is from: The Divine Feminine Fire: Creativity and Your Yearning to Express Your Self (Paperback)
One of the most eminently readable and inspiring self-development books I have read in years. Teri Degler seems able to combine ancient spiritual wisdom and a modern insight into the character of people, especially women, to create a genuine resource for the soul.
Developing one's own true creativity in a world where conformity is held in such high regard is one of the most difficult aspects of modern life. The reason why most people live "lives of quiet desperation" is often because they forego their own innate wisdom in favour of an overwhelming daily barrage from the media. What energy is left after dealing with, or avoiding atogether, this never-ending tidal wave of dross is usually spent recovering one's state of mind, leaving natural creativity to be put off in favour of more "worthwhile" occupations, or until some seldom-realised future idyll appears.
This book reinforces our belief in our own spiritual and creative worth, and uses a wealth of knowledge from a surprisingly diverse range of sources, to inspire and embolden us. There are many books which bring to us a single fish, enabling us to eat for a day ot two, but in order to eat for a lifetime, this book teaches us how to fish, in the most rewarding depths of all, our own selves. Inspiring, and highly recommended!
