This player really Struggles with 3D,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Toshiba BDX3000 3D-Ready Wi-Fi Blu-ray Disc Player (Electronics)
First of all, I can't speak to the problems mentioned by others before the latest firmware update was released. I updated the firmware as soon as I plugged it in, before I used any of the functions. With that said, even with the latest firmware update this player really struggles to play 3D adequately. The 3D movies I did play were often blurry in the background and in some cases the foreground. Tron 3D didn't show any signs of being 3D and the movie Tangled wouldn't load at all. There were a few instances the the system locked up and required me to unplug it from the wall in order to get it running again.
In terms of standard 2D Blu ray discs, and streaming netflix, this player worked perfectly fine, I never had any issues with the 2D features. I also liked the sensor buttons and sleek look. I ended up giving this player to my mother who will never buy a 3D TV. She just wanted a WiFi enabled player for Netflix and 2D play. I then ordered the Panasonic BDT210P for myself, also from Amazon, which works beautifully. What a difference 3D looks on the right Blu ray player. The picture quality looks so much better compared to the Toshiba player. Tangled loads up quickly, no blurry 3D, and Tron 3D is actually 3D.

Yeah, the Panasonic BDT210 works great with the Toshiba 3DTV. 3D Blu rays load up fast and I never have any lock up issues. Really clear 3D picture as well. You'll definitely be happy with the Panasonic.
