DEFINITIVE BIOGRAPHY OF AN ICON!,
This review is from: Michael Jordan: The Life (Hardcover)
Michael Jordan: The Life by Roland Lazenby is one of the best biographies written in recent times. As a sportswriter, and someone who has closely followed the game, the author has done a commendable job in this tome of a biography by revealing many aspects of the man who has been the cynosure of all eyes during a glittering career.
The biography reveals that He almost turned down the $2.5 million deal with Nike. He called the red and black shoe 'the devil's color.' He preferred Adidas. His father, James, frequently confronted him about his manliness, even to the point of shouting, “You don't know what you're doing. Go on in there with the women.”
Starting from his early years, this biography has enough ammunition to fire the imagination of his fans in particular, and sports lovers in general. There are fascinating tidbits about the man we all thought we knew well enough but Roland Lazenby has shown us how little we really knew about Michael Jordan as a person. Informative, well-written and enjoyable, Michael Jordan: The Life by Roland Lazenby is a must-read for basketball lovers.
