5.0 out of 5 stars After hesitation....., May 11, 2014
By
This review is from: LG Electronics 60LB7100 60-Inch 1080p 120Hz 3D Smart LED TV (2014 Model) (Electronics)
I purchased this television after hesitating for a bit, due to some of these negative reviews. I am upset with myself that I took as long as I did in buying this set. I had zero problems with my initial wifi setup. Zero problems with wifi connectivity at this point in time. After a quick calibration the picture is spectacular. It even does well in my moderately bright den. The stand is plenty sturdy. Not sure why anyone would have an issue with it.

Did you notice or see this global dimming issue? I have the 55LB7200 and I am exchanging it for this one and wonder if this one has it. It is a big issue.

On a very dark scene the screen really dims and you can hardly see anything. I have the energy savings off and I even tried turning off local dimming and it still does it. Other people have this problem too.

I haven't ran across this issue myself...

The models I see on display have one specific issue that I'm trying to see if owners have the same issue. The one's I've seen locally seem to have a light fall-off right around the edges of the screen. For instance, on a bright white screen, the 1" on each side almost creates a gradient from bright white fading down to a slight gray. It's similar to clouding, but uniform down each side. Are you seeing this?
