3.0 out of 5 stars Too Extensive?, January 11, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: My Time In Heaven (Paperback)
When I compared My Time in Heaven with other chronicles of individuals' visits to heaven, the major difference I found was the extensive touring of heaven that this author was allowed. In that sense, I found the details of his visit hard to accept. I am not saying he did not visit heaven, only that what he felt was revealed to him seems so far beyond what has been revealed to others as to be a sensationalized account of heaven. I'm afraid I am left to question if he has inadvertently embellished his facts.

Beyond those concerns, this book provides a detailed look into the structures, community and unique physical laws of heaven. If you have been wanting an indepth peak, here it is.

I totally agree .... There are many More details then in any other account and some seem awfully bizarre.....

honestly people: some people would gripe if you hung them with a new rope! What is someone supposed to do when they get back from an 8 hour tour of heaven-give some bland little boring report? I think the guy who wrote this comment one of those over judgmental people who are never satisfied with anything...sad, very sad

I agree that this seems way too embellished! I haven't gotten that far and already I am BORED. WHY do people think that heaven must have thrones, streets paved in gold, ENORMOUS books and trees, everything sparkly and full of gem stones? Who cares about any of that? These are earthly fantasies, placing so much value on nonsense! I'd be disappointed in a god who needs to be worshipped and placed in a throne, untouchable and all shiny, spewing glaring light. Jeez! how ridiculous! I would sooner believe we'll be having better relationships with others, and how we FEEL is more important, that we no longer have to worry about problems, our bodies in pain and grief, people being cruel and rude... I don't need gold streets!
Seems almost all the authors of these books want to preach to us, shove bible quotes at us. I didn't put my money out for that, you can get that from one of the ditzy tel-evangelists or go visit your local SHOUTING preacher man. I want my money back from Amazon on this one!

Well I bet the people of St Pauls time said the same thing about his many revelations he got from God. Or maybe John the Baptist was accused of the same, glad he wrote Revelations anyway.

I am afraid you are in error-John the Baptist did NOT write the book of Revelation. It was St. John the apostle.

Blue Eyes says:
To E. Staley and other commenters who doubt the accuracy and truth of Richard Sigmund's account: Your doubts are a reflection of your own perception and thinking. Based on his record of faith and service to God, my own perception is that his account is entirely credible. Just because it doesn't fit your ideas of what heaven is like does not diminish the truthfulness of this man's account. It is clear in scripture, if you accept it in the faith which belief in God requires, that nothing is impossible with God, His thoughts, power and abilities are infinitely above our own mortal fallibility, and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.

the apostle John not John the Baptist wrote Revelations , also most of what you said is wrong because what you were complaining about were written in and came from the bible, like the streets are gold. better read your bible again.
