Good looking, inexpensive watch,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Casio Men's AW80D-1AVCB 10-Year Battery Ana-Digi Bracelet Watch (Watch)
The watch looks sober and stylish.
1. Casio make, presumably good quality materials and movement.
2. Nice design
1. Light is feeble and does not illuminate the digital panel
2. Case of watch is not completely stainless steel, lower part is resin. In my last casio the resin clasp for the watch band broke. I bought this because I thought it would be stainless steel, but its not really.
3. The mineral dial cover is convex, so it will pick up scratches (like my last casio). I prefer flat watches
4. The watch is thick (say 3/60")

Going strong for two years now. Daily use, no scratches worth mentioning.

Yeah, that mineral glass is very durable. It's a shame this is still a resin watch, though. Thanks for pointing that out.

Only 0.05" thick is too thick?

" Only 0.05" thick is too thick? "
That was a typo by the reviewer. Amazon info suggests 13mm = 1/2 inch!

Very very good watch but I must agree with the convex cover (face) problem. Mine picked up a scratch not to long after first wearing it. It would be just about perfect, for the price, if it had a flat face.

Although convexed, is the window still mineral glass? The only thing keeping me from buying budget watches are the acrylic/plastic dial covers.

The watch is worth buying. I've had mine over two years and yes the watch face gets marked but it's a very sturdy and functional watch otherwise. It's small and that's why I bought it. I have thin wrists and it's perfect for me. At a glance it looks great and my acrylic is only just starting mark a little. But the watch is so cheap, with good features, that you can easily afford a new one every few years. I'm thinking of getting another soon, for occasionally wear, while still wearing my old one most of the time, no pun intended.
