Intersting, but fragile,
This review is from: Saitek PH04AU GH30 Vibration Headset (Personal Computers)
I got these headphones because they were cheap and I needed a replacement for a headset that had just broken. The whole "vibration" feature intrigued me. Within a day of receiving them, the left ear started to squeak whenever it attempted to vibrate, even on low settings. It was a nuisance at first, but eventually just became an annoyance, especially because the vibration added a lot to whatever game I happened to be playing. Needless to say, I was rather disappointed.
I had this for about 3 months before the microphone went. Prior to that, I heard constant complaints over Ventrilo to "fix your mic". I don't know if this was just my sound card biting the dust or if the mic was actually just transmitting garbage, but it resulted in me getting a new headset yet again.
It was, however, very comfortable. Probably the most comfortable headset I've worn, to be honest. When I bought this device, the title said "USB", which could be misleading. The microphone and headphones use 3.5 mm jacks, while the vibration functionality is powered by USB. You do have the option of switching the vibration on and off without having to unplug the cord, as well as control the amount of vibration.
