No bookmarking possible, close to useless,
This review is from: Fantasy & Science Fiction, Extended Edition (Kindle Edition)
While the magazine content is high-quality (as always), this e-book version is not anything I can recommend. There are various problems.
1) the most serious is lack of ability to make bookmarks. Every time I switch back to the app (on Android) I'm reset to the first page and need to manually re-scroll to whatever page I was on (assuming I remember it). Makes the most common use case (reading bits and pieces now and then on bus etc) close to impossible.
2) back issues vanish, you are only renting access to a small subset of newish issues, not buying anything. Switch to a new device, all your old issues are permanently gone.
3) for some bizarre reason, reading on PC Kindle app is disabled. This means I cannot read this on high-resolution laptop screen, but have to do with smallish phone screen (which has the no-bookmarking bug, making it unusable in practice).
Meh. The price is low, but the value you get here is even lower. This e-book implementation is horrible. Unsubscribed.
