Good old fashioned circumnavigation, "man against the elements" . Well written and enjoyable. In the style of Robin Knox-Johnson, this is a story pre GPS and satellite telephones. He chooses the simplest boat - nothing electrical on board, no toilet, no engine - so there would be "less to go wrong". The irony is that everything went wrong with almost daily disasters starting with the mast bolts breaking after only a few days at sea. I found myself constantly questioning why he pressed on with such an un-seaworthy vessel, and why he didn't bring basics such as a spare suit of sails and repair materials. An epic voyage and a thoroughly enjoyable read.
