Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Casual Vacancy (Kindle Edition)
I have no official review for this book as I have yet to read it. However, I just downloaded it to my kindle and the font is tiny. I must set my kindle font to the biggest it allows and it is still too small to read comfortably (plus the margins are now huge). Considering it killed me to purchase an ebook for over the usual 10-12 bucks I really feel that one costing $17.99 the font should be formatted properly.

According to reviews, readers are having just as many problems with the font on the Nook, so I don't think this is a Kindle glitch.

I think the review is valid, and the placing of it is OK - to warn the potential buyers. It would be better, though, if it would be called "Kindle Format!"

True. As for myself, I'll just wait a couple of days, until our booksstore marks it with 30% off - I already see it happening.

Thanks for saving me the cost of this book. Format is definitely an important review issue.

I just downloaded it a little over an hour ago, and the font problem is definitely still there. However, Amazon reps were very helpful, and are more than willing to provide a refund. I still have my copy, and I'm finding that, while the format problems (huge side margins, enormous chapter titles, etc.) are annoying, setting the font to the second-largest or largest size does make the book readable, at least in my case. I usually read books on the second-smallest font size, though, so those who are accustomed to anything larger than that will still have problems.
