"This is simply a really cool collection of 100 great album covers and their history." Exactly. This is refreshing after reading KaguyaHime's exceedingly gripe-y (almost pompous) review that so many people (27, apparently) seem to agree with. Fact is, this book is much more intriguing than the average album cover compendium. It upsets me when reviews such as KaguyaHime's turn people off to such a wonderful treasure! This book strikes me as lovingly prepared (not "hastily thrown together" in the least) - the little details always keep me coming back for more - and it's one of the few coffee table books I own that has a good "feel" to it (i.e. I can kick back with it on the couch, etc.)
However, KaguyaHime is right in one respect: 100 Best Album Covers must be reissued! It deserves a wider audience!
P.S. I hope there's a sequel someday! I'm eager to read about more of Storm & Aubrey's obscure favorites/curious as to what they think of the last ten years!
