USB to European plug,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Amazon Kindle EU Power Adapter (Kindle, Kindle Touch, Kindle Keyboard, Kindle DX) (Accessory)
What is not made clear in the product description is that one end has a USB port, not a two- or three- prong US plug ( a picture of the other end would be very helpful, Amazon.com!). So it's a USB to European plug adaptor.

I looked for this myself as I could not understand why I needed a power adapter myself. I think these should be included with the device rather than being an accessory. Charge $10 more and make it easier for the consumer.

I have plenty of microUSB converters. I would rather save the $10 on the Kindle purchase and use the same converter that came with all the cell phones my family has.

THAT'S why it's called a 'EU' adapter - it's included
with Kindles that are on the European market. It happens
to be a handy accessory for travelers to Europe. That said,
it's as easy for US based owners to use the included
US prong power adapter with a US flat prong-to-EU round
travel adapter .
