The straps on this backpack are very wide and very stiff. I find this uncomfortable. It might work better for somewone with a larger body, but I think that women and children would find the straps very uncomfortable.
On the other hand, the backpack seems to be made with quality materials. The color is pretty.

Thanks for your comment regarding the straps on this backpack. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who hated the straps on this backpack. They are not ergonomic at all for me. They *never* lay flat against my body (which is needed to distribute the weight evenly), no matter what I put in the backpack. When the backpack is full, the straps dig into my shoulders because they sit at an angle against my body. Shame, because I love everything else about the backpack including the super light weight, sturdiness, number of pockets, and the plaid print. I have other Jansport backpacks and they are all much more comfortable than this one.

Interesting. Perhaps they need to wear in a little bit? My daughter has used this bag for 2 years and it's packed heavy. She usually declines her dad's offer to carry it when the opportunity arises, leaving ball games at school and such. She's 5' 3" with a 'dance body' so not a big girl at all but she is strong and kind of muscular due to her dance and cheer activities. That could make a difference. She always says the bag is comfortable and not bothersome to carry at all. She loves it!
