5.0 out of 5 stars After a Few Tries: KB from Apple that is Awesome, October 12, 2007
Length:: 1:33 Mins

Since I was very surprised on getting this, figured it would make good fodder for trying out the new video review feature here.

My prior Apple keyboard was great until it got gunked up with junk and became spongey. This one also appears to have yielded a speed benefit as well. I happened to have tested my speed a week before getting this. On my old keyboard it was 63WPM, on this one, I took the test 3 or 4 times and it was 70WPM (10% better), and my accuracy was higher for whatever reason.

Also, I have been buying wireless since the bloody beginning and even my recent Logitech starts dropping characters when I put it in my lap and the bloody receiver is on the desk directly above it. No such problems with this, since it is bluetooth.

You mentioned that this does not have Home, End, PgUp, PgDown keys. That is true; you would instead use [Fn] + and arrow key (e.g. [Fn] + [Left] -> Home).

Does this also work with the internal AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x87) card ? Or must I purchase a a Bluetooth card for my MacPro?
Thanks in advance::

It is bluetooth only. Actually, I don't know of any wireless keyboards or mice that use wifi (which is what the Airport card is, it's a wifi card). It's either bluetooth like this which requires a bluetooth receiver or built-in bluetooth, or regular old wireless and it'll come with a wireless receiver anyway.

So, the short answer is that you'll have to add bluetooth to your computer if it doesn't have it already, whther through a USB receiver or by installing a card.
