This review is from: A Pastor's Guide to Conducting a Funeral: Things Every Pastor Needs to Know, But May Have Been Afraid to Ask (Paperback)
Many pastors do not feel prepared to do all that is required to help families during the loss of a loved one. Fortunately, Greg Jackson offers a research-based, practical guide that actually helps.
Jackson writes with the insight of one who knows first-hand what pastors need to do. His advice is clear and well written. His insights about working with funeral directors were especially useful. He even managed to infuse his writing with appropriate humor.
I plan to give copies of A Pastor's Guide to Conducting a Funeral to young pastors and church planters I know. If I had a copy of this book years ago when I began in pastoral ministry, I could have done a better job in helping families during some of the hardest days in life.
