No battery level indicator for T2i,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Photive Original LP-E8 Ultra High Capacity Li-ion Battery For Canon T5i, T4i ,T3i and T2i (Canon LP-E8 Replacement) (Camera)Works just as expected but the meter on the camera can't tell how much charge is left on it. So be sure to use this as a backup battery and not your main battery for an important shoot. You may think you have plenty of juice left when all of a sudden it turns red on you. Canon batteries have the level indicator chip that the camera reads, but not these. For the price though, you could buy a handful of them to have on hand for the same price as the Canon brand.

The listing says "The LP-E8 battery also communicates with the Canon EOS series cameras, so that you can always check the remaining capacity, shutter count and recharge performance on the cameras power source info screen." That would have told me that it DIDN'T work as expected, or as advertised. So either yours is defective, or the product is not as advertised.
