Le Creuset helped me with a knob,
This review is from: Le Creuset L9403-45 Stainless-Steel 2-Inch Replacement Knob (Kitchen)
I was about to order this metal replacement knob. I use my LCFOs often for high heat bread baking and one knob was getting all crumbly. I didn't know it was against the rules to subject the knob to 500 degree heat! I called LC (1-877-CREUSET) to ask if I could send back a crumbling knob for replacement. The response, "Oh, honey, you don't need to send a knob back for replacement! We will send you out a new knob tomorrow." The rep did not even ask if I had abused the pot knob with over-high temperatures. Anyway, I was happy to know this and to not spend money on a new--albeit longer lasting--knob.

ZEROING IN says:
Not only that, but at any time you can send a Le Creuset item back for replacement, up to 100 years to the original owner. Now THAT is a warranty!!!!

so reviewer gives le Creuset a negative review for a knob that crumbled for her not knowing not to be used in 500 deg oven (obviously she did not read instructions), and they send new one at no cost, and then goes negative---wow what a good customer. Guess some people are never happy.
