I tried to carefully research all the options on Amazon for a rice cooker, and settled on this model though it was slightly more than I planned on paying... but the reviews were so nearly-unanimously fab - I had to get it. AND I LOVE IT!!! We have used it a ton for rice to go along with curry stews or stir-fries, but then have made extra rice several times so we can have cold rice to make FAB fried rice with. I honestly have yet to see a downside to this cooker - it's super easy to use, super easy to clean, and has made perfect rice EVERY time we've used it. Between this and my new wok (a giant cast iron Lodge brand, if you're interested), we have been eating tons of healthy veggies and rice and such for a full month now, and doesn't look like we're slowing down... If you want a good rice cooker, this model is exceptional.
