5.0 out of 5 stars Cheney & Eberhart - prime suspects in the crimes of 9/11, October 6, 2004
This review is from: Crossing the Rubicon: The Decline of the American Empire at the End of the Age of Oil (Paperback)
I have just completed reading CROSSING THE RUBICON and can say it does an outstanding job of laying out the case against Dick Cheney & General Ralph Eberhart as the prime suspects in the crimes of 9/11. The key to this case lies in chapters 19, 20, 21 & 22, where the multiple War Games of 9/11 are documented in pain staking, and frightening, detail.

This book documents the fact that everything we've been led to believe about 9/11 is a lie. More importantly, it details the motive for the crimes of 9/11 - PEAK OIL.

The world is beginning to run out of hydrocarbon energy - oil & gas. That does not mean there is nothing left. Rather, it means that in 100 years mankind has used up half of the planets hydrocarbon reserves, and increasing demand ensures the 2nd half of these reserves will be used up much faster.

What this means is every barrel of oil is going to be harder to find, more expensive to recover, and thus more valuable. Whoever controls the world's last remaining hydrocarbon supplies controls the world. The 4-1-1 East Coast Blackout was "the first initial test" for Homeland Security, as Tom Ridge has stated, but it was also a dark premonition of what is to come in the not so distant future.

9/11 was the pretext for what Dick Cheney called, "The war that won't end in our lifetimes." That war is an energy war. Cheney knew about peak oil well before 9/11, as this book clearly documents. It is a must read for any & everyone who cares about the future of this country, the world, and their own survival.
