Easy to understand information!,
This review is from: Heaven is for Real for Kids: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back (Hardcover)
The first thing that struck me is how easy it was for my daughter to understand. There were times when she had questions, like when the book talked about no one being sad or mad. She wanted to know what happened if Grandma Great was sad that she's not with us. I told her that she's not sad because she can still see us and she's with God now. Or what happens to old people who die, do they become young and healthy again? Will I need my glasses in Heaven?
If my daughter was a bit older, I would have had her read some of the Bible verses scattered on the page, but for a 6 year old, the book was already just about as long as will keep her attention. Towards the end of the book, she was getting bored and didn't want to hear the answers to any of the questions at the end of the book, such as how is Colton doing now. On the other hand, she asked me if it would be okay if she takes the book to school tomorrow, so she must have enjoyed it!
I think we're going to wind up donating this book to our Sunday School program, I'm just not sure if it will be our copy or another copy! If your kids are asking about Heaven or if you just want to be able to help them understand without them wondering, this is a great book! It's written in words kids understand and doesn't get into details which are over their heads!
