This is a great toy and my daughter loves it...HOWEVER, the reason I purchased this over other similar toys was because of all the reviews that stated how this toy had good suction, unlike others like it; and other similar toys all had bad reviews about the poor suction. We didn't have such luck; the suction is horrible and it does not stick, even when wet.

Maybe you got a defective one as mine grips perfectly and stays put.

I agree with MeaghanLeanora below. Mine grips great and has a strong suction. However, it only has great suction on her high chair or other smooths surfaces. It does not grip very well to wood tables, etc. Is it what you are trying to attach it to for the reason it not working?

Mine doesn't stick to the high chair surface at all. It does for about 2 minutes and then it just comes undone with no baby hands on it. So my daughter throws it on the floor almost immediately because its so awkward to handle for a 5 month old.

E. A. Bustos says:
I found that when I just stuck it on the high chair tray, it came off easily. But by accident I found that if I wipe the suction cup with a pacifier wipe (I used Dr. Brown's) and then wiped the tray down as well, I was able to stick it and it has stayed stuck for a few days, even with my 9 month old tugging on it. When I try tugging on it I can't get it off, I have to lift the tab to get it unstuck when I use the wipes. That might help.

My son LOVES this toy but I wasn't able to get it to suction, even after wetting it. It would suction for a bit, then it would unsuction, and my son would almost hit himself in the face with it or throw it on the floor. HOWEVER, I just tried the "wipe" suggestion and it seems to be working so far. I didn't have a pacifier wipe, but a regular wipe worked just fine. I may try pacifier wipe in the future, since it's probably safer to be around food items. Thanks for the suggestion!
